The LM2596 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that provide all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 3-A load with excellent line and load regulation. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V, 5 V, and 12 V, and an adjustable output version. The application includes a Simple High-Efficiency Step-Down (Buck) Regulator, On-Card Switching Regulators, Positive Negative Converter

This module features the adjustable LM2596 step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 3A load with excellent line and load regulation. This is an LM2596 DC-DC buck converter step-down power module with a high-precision potentiometer, capable of driving a load up to 3A with high efficiency, which can work with Arduino UNO, other mainboards, and basic modules. When the output current keeps greater than 2.5A (or output power greater than 10W), please add a heat sink to it.
